A scheme to replace over 400 non-traditional, many vacant or cleared homes with c446 new mixed tenure homes was developed with Shoreline Housing Partnership and North East Lincolnshire Council. Dba provided options and feasibility advice and retained for an innovative procurement exercise with local residents having a real say in the decision making process. Galliford Try and their homes delivery subsidiary Linden Homes were appointed and commenced on a phased redevelopment. The scheme is a regional priority for the HCA and benefitted from public sector support for rented and shared ownership homes to complement the outright sales. The transformation included the incorporation of a 30000 patient medical centre and a community orientated enterprise responsible for estate management, creatively funded.
The scheme has made substantial progress notwithstanding the difficult market conditions and has benefited from community representation on the project delivery steering group and the estate management company board.
99% of all homes are to Lifetime Homes standard, the majority are Code for Sustainable Homes level 3 and above, the scheme is designed to Building for Life Silver standard
